Speaking on the details of the incident that happened yesterday at Ibadan, Alhaji Oriyomi who is the owner of the media partner of the event expressed his disappointment with the outcome of the event.
In his words “I went home naked yesterday, I was left with only my boxers, I was crying like a baby, the police and the road safety officers were there, by now my pictures would have been flying around the social media if phones were not seized.
People were falling, and as we were trying to rescue them, more people coming behind them kept stepping on the people on the floor.
The gifts were meant to make the children happy, I really pity the woman(Queen Naomi) and I pity myself too.
The people we are trying to help do not care about us, some were even throwing their children at me with out a care if they fall or not, I personally arrested some parents because of the way they treated their children, when it comes to free things and giveaway, some parents do not care about what happens to their kids, our people are selfish and greedy when it comes to freebies.
Alhaji explained that the stampede was caused by inpatients and greediness, people were coming in before the event opened and were pushing other people.
