Let Our Hometown Pride Ignites spirits of commitment (6)

" Love for one’s town is a powerful emotion that fuels patriotism and inspires individuals to work towards the betterment of their hometown.

It is a feeling that transcends boundaries and unites people in their shared love and respect for their country home"..... Alaafin Owoade.

Throughout history, there have been remarkable individuals who have expressed their deep affection for their town through their words.

“My country home ,right or wrong” – these words by Carl Schurz encapsulate the unwavering love and loyalty towards one’s country. It reflects the belief that even in the face of imperfections and challenges, individuals should stand by their town and strive to make it better.

This quote reminds us that true love for our country home means being critical of its shortcomings while working towards positive change.

Love for one's town is not limited to individuals; it extends to the land, culture, and traditions.

As William Shakespeare said, “This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.” This quote celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of country home ,  reminding us to cherish and protect our natural resources and cultural heritage.

Home is where the stories begin, and every corner holds a memory.

Every street in my town has a tale waiting to be told.

The roots of my soul are firmly planted in the soil of my hometown.

Hometowns are like time machines; they take us back to who we were.

In the heart of my hometown, laughter has no expiration date.

The familiar faces in my town are the chapters of my life.

Memories are the threads that weave the fabric of my hometown.

My hometown is the melody I hum when the world gets quiet.

It is therefore time for every right thinking indigene of Oyo town to loudly  express their love and sense of belonging to their hometown.

Active participation in the era of transformation is paramount, just as everyone MUST demonstrate his or her love for the hometown .

Let us get an education and help to build up hometown because I believe that our root can only truly flourish when its  indigenes are getting the opportunity to educate themselves.

Let us remember wordings of our enviable home anthem and have a re- think from vendetta, acrimony, persecution and mudslinging to mutual trust, robust relationships and sincerity of purpose.

Oyo ko ni ba je o.

To be continued ........
